How Abraham Became Worthy

Abraham is one of the most important figures of the Old Testament. He built the first altar to the Lord in the promised land. He also built an altar on Mount Moriah, site of the future Temple. Genesis 22:2, 2 Chronicles 3:1. Through Abraham, Heavenly Father established a covenant with all mankind. Abraham exhibited great determination to keep God’s covenant established through him. Abraham accepted those things that were essential to being exalted in the eyes of Heavenly Father. Heavenly Father uses Abraham as an example of how to be “Temple Worthy”. We will examine Abraham’s testimony of obedience and see how he became worthy so we can learn from his example.
