How We Can Be Temple Worthy Like Abraham

The Bible calls Abraham “the father of all them that believe.”  Romans 4:11.  Abraham provides for us the key in how to become temple worthy.  His life of obedience was fueled by trust and confidence that God would always keep his promises.  “He [God] hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.  Which covenant he made with Abraham.”  Psalm 105:8-9  Heavenly Father promised Abraham that he would make of him a great nation, his name would be great, he would be blessed and most importantly, all the people on earth would be blessed through him.  God’s promise was finally carried out in Jesus Christ, the Savior.  Even though Abraham could not know the future circumstances of Jesus’ coming or the details of his life and ministry, Abraham had faith in the promise fulfilled in Jesus.  It is this faith that we will examine to see how Abraham became temple worthy.
