The Author of My Story:

You know, a lot of people think my story is contained within the inspired writing of the great prophet Moses and recorded in the Book of Genesis. But that is not entirely correct. Many prophets, Apostles, and scribes have written parts of my story. Joshua, Ezra, Isaiah, Nehemiah, Ezekiel, Micah, Matthew, Luke, John, Paul, the writer of Hebrews, and James have all written pieces of my story. All these men have contributed to the same story, my story, a story that took two thousand years to finish recording.

 I can say that all these men contributed to the same story because they were not the actual authors.  Every word about me recorded in scripture was authored by the same source; whether these words were written in 1400 BC (six hundred years after the events of my life); or were written in the first century AD (two thousand years after the fact).  Time has no meaning for this author.  He carries the miraculous power and full authority of Heavenly Father.  His words never lose their brilliance, importance or relevance.  This author is none other than the Holy Spirit himself.

As I have prepared my journals I have drawn exclusively from this scriptural source of my story. I have done this so that you may know my words to be true; so that you may test my words (my fruits as it were) against the holy words of scripture.  References to scripture pertaining to each journal are provided at the end of each journal to assist your study.  May the Lord that kept me close to him throughout my life guide your heart as you read my journals.  May he grant you wisdom as you reflect on my life and apply the principles learned to your own life, Amen.
